International hotel brand Pan Pacific Hotel Group has added two new hotel properties to its global hotel portfolio.
The company will add its fifth hotel in North America with the rebranding of the former Westin Prince Hotel as the Pan Pacific Toronto. Its other hotels in the region are in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Seattle.
The 45-year-old hotel building in Toronto that Pan Pacific is taking over features 409 guest rooms and suites that overlook 15 acres (6ha) of parkland and the cityscape. The property has also just completed a C$15 million ($15.45 million) renovation this year. It boasts 30,000 sq ft of meeting space, including 18 meeting rooms and a ballroom for up to 700 guests. Other amenities include a heated outdoor pool, a tennis court, and a fitness centre. The hotel is a 30-minute drive to Toronto Pearson International Airport, the Toronto Zoo, and the Canada’s Wonderland theme park.

Separately, Pan Pacific has also signed an agreement to market the five-star Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel as a Pan Pacific Partner Hotel, through its distribution channels and its loyalty programme. “Through our loyalty programme Pan Pacific Discovery, the hotel will have access to 15.6 million members worldwide,” says Choe Peng Sum, CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
The Tokyo hotel is in the trendy Shibuya district and towers 188m over 40 stories. It has 411 rooms with views of the cityscape, and Mount Fuji can be seen on clear days. The hotel is close to landmarks such as the famous Shibuya crossing, Shibuya train station, Hachiko memorial statue, and the Taito business district. Shopping districts Shinjuku and Ginza are just one train station away.

The hotel has eight F&B outlets and a suite of wellness facilities including an indoor heated pool, a Japanese-style sauna, a gym, a beauty salon, a nursery, and a dental clinic. It also houses the Noh Theatre, the only hotel theatre in the city which hosts ballet, opera and noh, the oldest surviving form of Japanese theatre art.
Next year, Pan Pacific will open its luxury flagship Pan Pacific London, as well as its first Parkroyal hotel in Dalian, China. Following its rebrand, Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay in Singapore will also offer a brand new ‘garden in a hotel’ concept.
